About Mark Sherwood

Mark Sherwood is Director of Mattad Safety Services, A Health, Safety and Risk Management consultancy based in Milton Keynes, Bucks.

Mark first became involved in health & safety as a union safety rep back in the early 1990's whilst working in a local high speed canning plant.

In the mid 1990's having studied safety management through The British Safety Council  and spending some time working for local companies in and around Milton keynes Mark decided to 'take the plunge' and start up his own business.

Mattad Safety Services Was created !

The Safety consultancy grew steadily and went from strength to strength.

• Metropolitan Housing Association
• Notting Hill Housing Association

And Many More.

However, Mark also had an interest in basic human psychology, and thats where NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) began to have an influence in Marks personal and professional life.

In 2005 Mark studied under Paul Mckenna, Richard Bandler (co-creator of NLP) and Michael Neill (Coaching specialist) and became an NLP Practitioner

2006 saw Mark become an NLP Master Practitioner

2007 and Mark was off to the USA to become a Licenced Trainer of NLP, trained once again by Richard Bandler who was joined by John La Valle (President of the Society of Neuro Linguistic Programming)

Since becoming a Licensed NLP Trainer, Mark has also 'upgraded' his NLP skills by becoming an NLP Business Practitioner and attending the world famous 'Persuasion Engineering' Seminar delivered By John La Valle & Richard Bandler.

From a business perspective, the application of NLP techniques in the operation of Mattad Safety Services has made an ENORMOUS difference when it comes to winning contracts and many clients have commented that 'staff seem to want to do what Mark asks them to do'

Mark still owns and runs Mattad Safety Services Ltd. But now spends most of his time delivering persuasion and influence workshops and NLP Practitioner Trainings through his specialist training organisation NLP243.
